Introduction
TableSnappr Limited ("we", "our", " us" or "TableSnappr") is providing customers (“you” or “your”) with access to an online platform (“Instant Ordering Platform”) llinking you to your favourite restaurants, venues and food outlets (“ Partner Restaurants”). Simply use your own smartphone to access the Instant Ordering Platform, select items from a menu of one or several Partner Restaurants, pay online and pick them up or get these delivered (e.g. to your table). Where you can get your order delivered, this service is not offered by TableSnappr, but by the Partner Restaurants or by the operator of a venue (“Operator”).
We are fully committed to protecting the personal information of all customers who access our websites or services through any mobile application, platform or device (collectively, the “ Services”). This privacy policy describes how we, as the “data controller” of the information that customers provide to us, use and protect this information. By using our Services you agree to TableSnappr using your personal information as described in this privacy policy.

Information we collect from you and how we use it
We collect personal information when you use our Services, e.g., when you place an order through our Instant Ordering Platform.
More specifically, we collect information:
- when you place an order with us and during the order process (including for payment and order delivery);
- when you contact us directly via email, phone, post or message; and
- when you browse and use our Services (before and after you place an order).
We also collect information from third party sites, such as advertising platforms and our payment and fraud detection providers.
Information that you provide to us voluntarily includes:
- transaction information when you place an order (including your name, email address, phone number, order details, payment information, such as credit or debit card information, comments, and food allergies that you have volunteered to tell us about); and
- feedback that you give to us (and any additional personal information you provide with your feedback).
There is also some information that we collect automatically to measure and analyse the quality of our Services, to better understand usage behaviour and to provide you with an improved experience. This information includes:
- technical information from your mobile device or computer, such as its operating system, the device and connection type and the IP address from which you are accessing our Services; and
- activity information on how you use our Services, such as products you have looked at or chosen or links you have used to access our Services.
We will only process the data we collect about you if there is a reason for doing so, and if that reason is permitted under data protection law. Our main reason for collecting and using your personal information is to provide you with the service you have requested or to enter into a contract (e.g. to make sure you get your order), but we may also process it where: we have your consent; we have a legitimate interest for processing your data; or where we are under a legal obligation to do so.
Where we need to process your data in order to provide you with the services you have requested or to enter into a contract, we use your information:
- to supply the services you have requested by processing your order (including passing on information to our Partner Restaurants) and providing you with an order confirmation, status update, email confirmation and payment receipt;
- to enable us to collect payment from you (using the secure services of our payment providers); and
- to contact you where necessary concerning our Services, such as to resolve issues you may have with your order.
We process health information about you only where you volunteer to tell us, for example if you specify any food allergies.
We also process your data where we have legitimate interests for doing so— for example:
- to improve the effectiveness and quality of service that our customers can expect from us in the future;
- to tailor content that we or our Partner Restaurants display to you, for example so that we can show you dishes that you might like;
- to enable our customer support team to help you with any enquiries or complaints in the most efficient way possible;
- to analyse your activity when using our Services so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business and for statistical and analytical purposes and to help us to prevent fraud;
- to enforce our contractual terms with you and any other agreement, and for the exercise or defence of legal claims and to protect the rights of TableSnappr, Partner Restaurants, venue operators, or others (including to prevent fraud); and
- if you submit comments and feedback regarding our Services, we may use such comments and feedback in any marketing or advertising materials. We will only identify you for this purpose by your name and the Partner Restaurants that you ordered from.
Where we are under a legal obligation to do so we may use your information to:
- create a record of your order(s);
- comply with any legal obligation or regulatory requirement to which we are subject.
Who we share your information with
The information we collect about you will be transferred to and stored on our servers located within the EU.
We are very careful and transparent about who else your information is shared with. We will share your information with
- Partner Restaurants that you have placed your order with: so that they can fulfil your order, be made aware of any food allergies you have volunteered to tell us about, resolve issues, or improve their services;
- Operators (including service staff): for the purpose of delivering your order to you, resolving issues, or improving their services.
As you are a direct customer of the Partner Restaurants and the Operator, these parties will have their own responsibility and obligations with respect to the processing of your personal data. If you have questions about how the Partner Restaurants and the Operator handle your personal data, you should contact them directly.
Besides the Partner Restaurants and the Operator, we may share your information with the following recipients:
- TableSnappr companies within our group (only for the purposes laid out above), this includes new owners or re-organised entities in the event of a business restructuring, sale, purchase or joint venture;
- Payment providers (including online payment providers and fraud detection providers): for the purposes of providing services to us, for example when they process information such as credit card payments for us, provide support services to you or carry out fraud checks for us;
- IT service providers (including cloud providers): for the purposes of data storage and analysis;
- Customer support partners: who will help us to resolve any issues you may have with our Services; and
- Any law enforcement or regulatory body, government agency, court or other third party where we believe disclosure is necessary (i) as a matter of applicable law or regulation, (ii) to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights, or (iii) to protect your vital interests or those of any other person.
TableSnappr will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy when it is transferred to third parties.
We will only give your personal information to any other person, if you have given your explicit consent to the disclosure. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
How we keep your data safe
We adopt robust technologies and policies to ensure the personal information we hold about you is suitably protected.
We take steps to protect your information from unauthorized access and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will take steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Services; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access.
How long we keep your data
TableSnappr will retain your personal information for no longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this privacy policy. We will only store your data for longer if we are required by law to do so.
TableSnappr erases most of your personal data 2 years after you placed your order. We use this 2-year term for administrative purposes and to be able to deal with possible questions and complaints about your order, either from you or from Partner Restaurants. We store personal data that we use for reporting, analytical, and misuse prevention purposes for up to 20 years after you placed your order. We are unable to remove your personal data from backups. But when performing a restore from a backup, we will erase the personal data right away.
Your Rights
Under data protection law, you may have a number of rights concerning the data we hold about you. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the contact details set out above. Below is a summary of your rights in respect of the personal information of yours which we handle. For additional information on your rights please contact your data protection authority.
- You have the right to be provided with clear, transparent and easily understandable information about how we use your information and your rights. Therefore, we are providing you with the information in this policy.
- You have the right to obtain access to your information and to have your information corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You can also object to processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information, request that it be ported to a third party, or request for it to be deleted. You can exercise these rights by contacting us using the contact details provided above.
- If we collect and process your personal information based on your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
- You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about our collection and use of your personal information.
- We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
